Search warrant by Surrey RCMP leads to large seizure of drugs and firearms

Surrey RCMP Drug Unit has seized a large amount of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and firearms in the Fleetwood area.
On November 4, 2023 Surrey RCMP Drug Unit with the assistance from the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Surrey Gang Enforcement Team (SGET), executed a search warrant at a residence in the 16700-block of 109 Avenue.
A 24-year-old man was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking. He also had a warrant out of Saskatchewan, which was extended to BC at the request of Surrey RCMP. He has since been transferred to Regina, Saskatchewan, where the warrant originated.
Officers seized the following items during the search:
- 131 g - suspected Fentanyl (including 200 pieces of prepackaged drugs for street sale);
- 264 g - suspected Crack Cocaine (including 200 pieces of prepackaged drugs for street sale);
- 207 g - suspected Powder Cocaine (bulk);
- 49 g - suspected Methamphetamine;
- Buckmark .22 long rifle Pistol with silencer and .22 magazine, serial # removed;
- Model JR Carbine multicaliber 1911 - 45ACP;
- 9mm Glock 43 Pistol with 10 round magazine, serial # removed;
- Smith and Wesson MMP2 M2 Pistol (short barrel prohibited) with eight round capacity magazine.
- High capacity 60 round (.556 caliber) drum magazine;
- High capacity. 556 magazine unpinned;
- Two (2) pistol magazines(.45 caliber);
- Two (2) 50 round (.22caliber) drum magazine;
- Two (2) banana clip 25 rounds (.22 caliber) magazines;
- Loose ammunition - .556 /12 Gauge slugs/ .45 and .38 special.
- Body armor with plates.
- Cellphones
This investigation has led to a significant seizure of potentially fatal drugs and weapons. Additionally, an individual with access to numerous firearms has been removed from our community,
says, Surrey RCMP Proactive Enforcement officer, Inspector Ryan Element. Surrey RCMP continues to target those individuals who put our community’s safety at risk.
