RCMP seeking public assistance after shots fired

Kamloops RCMP are requesting the public's help in identifying two suspect vehicles involved an exchange of gunfire near a residence known to police.

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, at approximately 7:26 a.m., Kamloops RCMP were called to the 100-block of Oak Road after receiving a report of shots fired. Officers confirmed multiple gunshots had been fired, but determined no injuries were sustained.

The suspects fled the scene north on Tranquille Road, in two separate vehicles.

The investigation indicates this was targeted, explains Cpl. James Grandy, BC RCMP spokesperson. Incidents such as this pose a danger to everyone in the community, and we’re doing everything we can to identify them.

RCMP are releasing two surveillance images of the suspect vehicles in the hopes that the public can assist in identifying them.
