Pedestrian motor vehicle collision – 14000 block of 96th avenue

Surrey RCMP is currently on scene investigating a pedestrian motor vehicle collision that occurred on June 23rd, 2023, in the 14000 block of 96th avenue.

On June 23rd, 2023, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian motor vehicle collision in the 14000-block of 96th avenue. A private bus was traveling east bound on 96th avenue from 140th street, when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street between intersections.

The male pedestrian has been transported to a local area hospital with critical injuries.

The driver of the private bus remained on scene and is cooperating with police. The investigation is still in the very early stages but alcohol and speed do not currently appear to be contributing factors to the collision.
